🌼 Wellbeing Wednesdays @ AIA

Wellbeing Wednesdays are all about building confidence and positivity, inside and out. Each Wednesday in Form classes, students take on small challenges that strengthen wellbeing, develop self-growth and encourage kindness.

Through our weekly challenges, students are encouraged to: care for their emotional wellbeing · practise gratitude and kindness · reflect on their strengths · build healthy habits · support others in meaningful ways.

Hadith of the week

“Be keen on what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not give up.”

— Sahih Muslim 2664

Whole class

Wellbeing Watering Can 💧 sleep · movement · salah and connection with Allah · gratitude · time outdoors · healthy friendships · positive self-talk · asking for help · doing things we enjoy · time with family · rest.

Because whatever we keep giving our time and attention to tends to become stronger.

Discuss:

  • What are you watering?
  • Examples: I will go to sleep earlier. I will spend time outside after school. I will write down one thing I am grateful for each day.
Hadith of the week

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those which are done regularly, even if they are few.”

— Sahih al-Bukhari 6465

Whole class

Discuss possible “weeds” — the things that get in the way of growing.

Discuss:

  • negative self-talk
  • comparing ourselves to others
  • procrastination
  • worrying too much about what others think
  • giving up quickly
  • holding onto mistakes
  • spending too much time on screens
  • not getting enough rest
  • avoiding asking for help
Hadith of the week

“The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what they intended.”

— Sahih al-Bukhari 1

Whole class

Start the month with self-reflection and fresh beginnings.

Spring reminds us that growth often starts small. Before something blooms, it begins as a tiny seed.

Discuss:

  • What does personal growth mean?
  • What is something you would like to become better at?
  • What quality would you like to grow in yourself?
  • What is already going well that you want to keep nurturing?
